Want To Bookmark in Chrome? It Is Super Simple

There are several varieties of bookmarks online. While they are all relatively similar, each browser has its own system and technique for creating and storing bookmarks. Or you can go to a social bookmarking site to store them not in your browser, but on an actual website. For instance, Pinterest or Delicious bookmarks must be accessed through their site. In case you are confused, Delicious bookmarks are not just bookmarks of a bunch of great looking recipes. Delicious bookmarks are the saved sites that are stored in the site Delicious.

If you are new to the internet, or just have not utilized bookmarks before, you are in for a real treat, because I am about to teach you how to bookmark a page. Fair warning, I am using the Google browser, so I will be describing the process to make bookmarks in Chrome. The bookmarking process is very similar in other browsers, but I suggest that you just use Chrome from now on. It will make everything easier.

For ease of demonstration purposes, I will be explaining how you would bookmark this page. Just apply that newly acquired knowledge to any other website, and you will be a bookmarking master in no time.

For starters, you need to identify the search and address bar at the top of the browser. It is that big grey rectangle at the very top with the URL in it. To the far left of that, right before the URL, is a little icon. If the site has it specified, it can be a little picture representing the website. If not, Chrome makes the default a little white blank page. Bring your mouse up to that icon and grab onto it. Now drag it just below the address bar, into what is known as the bookmark bar. When you release the mouse button, it will drop the little icon onto the bar, which creates a button. This button is your bookmark link to access this page from now on. You will never need to type an address ever again.

To organize bookmarks you can right click on it and choose to edit the name or address. You can also delete links with that option as well. If you right click on the bookmark bar without selecting a bookmark in the process, you get the bookmark bar options. From here you can create folders that you can put similar themed bookmarks in to organize even more. Whether you do organize or not, you now have the knowledge to make your internet experience much quicker and easier to access all of your favorite websites with the simple click of a button.
